The unit was installed in May of 2011 and the pool is open from May thru September every year. There is a medium sized holly bush near the unit to act as a visual barrier, but only blocks one side of the unit and does not block any airflow (it has been there since the unit was installed).

I live in PA and I have noticed the error code over the course of the last 2 weeks. In each case the outside temperature has never been below 70 degrees Fahrenheit and I do not set the temp on the unit higher than 86. What I find odd and leads me to believe I have an issue is when it has occurred, the unit is cooler toward the bottom and there is visible condensation. I have also tried cutting the power source and restarting to get the code to reset and start the unit again. This may be normal and perhaps I simply haven t ever taken notice, hence the reason for the question. Heating unit (Heatwave SuperQuiet R410A) currently runs, but has recently been shutting down, showing a FS code (outside air temp low) and failing to run. Posted on JAuthor adminMarc Categories Pool It took over two months of going back and forth with Zodiac before I finally got a helpful person on their customer service line who could say something other than “You need to contact an authorized service company before we can do anything”. “Take me out of here without changing anything”. This is completely counterintuitive since, to me, the “Back” button is equivalent to a “Cancel” key. In about 15-20 seconds you should see the “Pool Temp” reading on the home screen adjust to the newly calibrated temperature.

  • Click the “Back” button until you reach the home screen again.
  • Adjust the temperature using the arrow keys.

What you want to do is, with the pump running so the temperature is registering: The issue here is there is no obvious way to actually adjust the temperature and APPLY the change. I do not have a Spa so only the Pool is showing a valid temperature.

If you are finding your iAqualink unit is showing a temperature that is within 4 degrees higher or lower than your pool water actually is, you can go to Menu > System Setup > Temp Calibrate and get to a screen that looks like this one below. This was not obvious to me at all so I thought I would share it. 21 commentsĪrchives Archives Categories Categories Housekeeping adminMarc on Moving Back to Quicken from Banktivity (Long).Norman Dallura on Moving Back to Quicken from Banktivity (Long).Ann on Moving Back to Quicken from Banktivity (Long).

  • Obviously that does not happen since the watch has its own power source. This would be like saying the time on my Casio watch resets when the power to my house goes out for a certain amount of time. The date/time shouldn't need to be reset anytime power to the house is lost, that's just silly. The 9V battery is in the control panel to keep settings in place (per the user manual), not to power the remote. In any case, why would the pump program settings, for instance, never be lost but the date/time are lost? The remote is not plugged into a 120V outlet like a radio clock is, so SOMETHING is powering that remote internally so it can work, presumably its own battery.

I can tell when the time/date resets because the pump is not on during the operating window, which is problematic. Like I said, I need to check the battery, they might have put an old battery in there. This is a far cry from being a "real time" device, not for me anyway. The date goes back to 1/6/09 or some odd default date and the time resets too. Maybe I am not understanding you right, but I have had to reset the date/time on my PDA-4 at least 5 times in the last month and I assure you that we have not lost power for 72 hours straight, much less 72 minutes at a time.
